Tips for your portrait session

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some tips on how to prepare for a photoshoot, whether it's a family portrait session or a business photoshoot.

  1. Choose your outfits carefully - think about the colors, styles, and accessories that will look best on camera and compliment you. LFP offers a "Wardrobe Guide" to all booked clients.
  2. Consider your location - think about the background, lighting, and atmosphere that will complement your shoot. What colors are dominant in your home's main living areas (where you plan to display your portraits) and what type of vibe do you want for your images?
  3. Plan ahead - make sure you have all the necessary props or materials you'll need for the shoot. Bring along any special items to you, that you'd like in the photos. Extra waters, bug spray, wipes, and a hairbrush are always good items to have with you.
  4. Get plenty of rest and hydration the night before - this will help you look and feel your best on the day of the shoot. Make sure you eat a meal before your photo session time (especially if you have children). This will help ensure that everyone is in a good mood during your session.
  5. Trust your photographer - they are the professionals and will guide you through the shoot to get the best results.

I hope these tips help you feel prepared and confident for your photoshoot. If you have any questions or want to learn more, don't hesitate to reach out to me. I offer no obligation portrait consultations and I would love to meet you. Contact me today.
